Recently, I had the opportunity to shoot an engagement session at Colton House hotel in downtown Austin, Texas. Paola and Jonathan wanted elegant engagement images that showcased their love story. The icing on the cake was that the couple had brought their beautiful ’65 classic Corvette to their engagement session! I was thrilled to incorporate their classic car into the session!
With every couple who entrusts me to capture important parts of their lives, such as their engagement, I am honored and want to tell their story as uniquely as they are. Every couple has a unique love story, and capturing your story through images is truly a privilege. I believe that engagement pictures are more than just photographs; they are a symbol of the couple’s love and commitment to each other, and they will be cherished for years to come.
Paola and I discussed her vision for the engagement shoot and she also trusted me to put my artistic touch on her vision. When you trust me as your engagement photographer, the center of everything is bringing out every couples unique personality so that your images feel authentic to you. Some of my favorite ways to do this is playing your favorite music during our session and giving you prompts to create some movement and to help you not feel stiff and posed. I want to help you forget the camera is even there and make you feel 100% comfortable!
Overall, Paola and Jonathan’s editorial engagement session at Colton House Hotel with their ’65 classic Corvette was such an incredible experience and one I’ll treasure forever.
