Maddie and Alex’s Santa Ynez vineyard wedding was such a stunning and beautiful day!
As their wedding photographer, I appreciated all the thought and detail Maddie and Alex put into their intimate wedding day. Alex wore a custom suit by Art Lewin and had custom monogrammed cuff links and shirt with his initials.
Maddie got ready with her girls at the vineyard. She wore custom made earrings by one of my favorite creative jewelers, Autumn Fever Designs. Maddie was truly a vision on her wedding day!
One of my absolute favorite details from their day was that Maddie and Alex had their wedding date stitched onto a piece of their clothing. Alex had X.XV.XXII embroidered on his custom suit and Maddie had the same thing etched into the bottom of her cathedral veil.
The ceremony and reception took place at a family friend’s vineyard, Vie Caprice, in San Ynez Valley. This really helped in creating the perfect intimate setting for their wedding day.
The couple kept the guest list small and had 30 of their cherished friends and family witness their union.
Santa Ynez Vineyard Wedding Ceremony
During their Santa Ynez vineyard wedding ceremony, the bride and groom integrated a wine ceremony into their vows. After they each shared their personal vows with each other, they sealed the ceremony with a wine pouring from the vineyard’s house wine. The wine ceremony symbolizes the blending of two lives into one. I loved that the wine glass they used was a gift from the vineyard. It was etched with the message “Alex ♡ Maddie”.
After the ceremony was over and the couple had time to soak up the congratulations from their guests, we had a great time taking couples portraits in the vineyard!
Wedding Reception under Canopy String Light Tent
Their wedding reception was truly a dream come true and filled with the prettiest details. Maddie did a quick change into a second wedding dress. This has got to be one of my favorite recent wedding trends!
All guests were seated together at one long table under a canopy of string lights. A guitarist played live music while the guests enjoyed all the food and wine!
It was truly a gorgeous day from start to finish! I’m so thrilled I was able to witness it all as their wedding photographer!
