As someone who struggles to be in front of the camera, I try to make every session as fun as possible. When shooting these creative portraits in the North Shore of Hawaii, I wanted Justine to feel powerful and beautiful! Being in front of the camera is a daunting thing for most people. We aren’t sure what to do with our hands, where to look, what to do. The key to making your session fun and successful is MOVEMENT!
Movement is the key to all photography. Wether it’s your wedding day, creative portraits, couples photos – movement helps with everything. Not only will movement get fun and exciting photos, but it also helps keeps things loose, fun, and authentic. I also love capturing the “in-between” moments and movement really helps with keeping things authentic and gives your images feeling and depth.
My goal during my time with Justine for her creative portraits in North Shore, Hawaii was to capture the beauty of the island along with her natural beauty. We kept things fun! We played with light, shadows, movement, and of course had to bump Beyonce while we were doing it! Because if you aren’t having fun during your session, then you are doing it wrong!
If you want to feel confident in your photographer, be sure you connect with them and learn their photography style. Every photographer is different and has a personal style! If you are someone who wants to feel a connection with your photographer and look back on your photos and feel the fun and excitement you felt while taking them, then I might be your girl! I want everyone to walk away having had a good time and feeling confident and beautiful after our time together! Reach out and let’s chat about your vision for your photography session with me! I can’t wait to connect!
